Agar.io is a quick, competitive game that's available on PC and mobile platforms.

There are some games that become a big deal for no real reason. These games don't have much of a structure, much in the way of graphical fidelity, or even much in the way of game play. Nonetheless, the scratch a gaming itch and people tend to obsess over them. Agar.io is one of these games, a game in which you use a dot to eat other dots and get bigger. There is no story to Agar.io. This is nothing to Agar.io but eating other dots. If you look at it from the outside, it is quite simply one of the dumbest games ever made. If you play it, though, you'll have a very hard time putting it down.

This is a game that requires a good deal of patience, because you are always going to lose. Someone bigger than you will find you and eat you. When you first start out, your average game will be measured in seconds. Once you get good, your game will be measured in minutes. If you're lucky, you'll play against challengers that make the game great. If not, you'll play against unrepentant jerks who are more concerned with frustrating you than with having a good time.

If you want a great game, look elsewhere. If you want what's one of the best time wasters ever published, though, this is the game for you. You will find yourself booting up Agar.io every time you have a coffee break, and you'll eventually get to the point where you might even play for minutes at a time. There's nothing quite as fun as this strange, stupid little game.
